Check out these videos relating to the fantastic strike by 25,000 US dockers calling for the immediate end to the imperialist occupation of Iraq which shut down the west coast. They were also joined on strike that day by dockers in Iraq itself!

  • Great Job!
This is democracy — now if others will learn that this is the only way in this $$ driven country to have a voice.
Come on, everybody can declare a week long work stoppage to stop the war. People can go further, and stop work UNTIL the war is stopped.
Wall street eventually caved to the pressures of the civil rights and anti-war movements. Now is the time to unite against this corrupt and treasonous administration. If you wait for others to do it for you or for the government to do it it will be too late and you will lose more and more. In other countries the people speak by halting the government and corportate run enterprises until they are listened to.
Great job ILWU! Keep leading the way no matter how many times it takes.

The land of the scared and the home of the slave— not if the ILWU has anything to say about it! Do you?

It is up to the people to change things. You cannot trust your government. You cannot trust this system. Politicians promise change knowing that they can never deliver. It is only the people who have the power to change anything. It is time to use it.

If you continue to be so afraid and content in your slavery, you can only expect what this deserves…. a fascist dictatorship. The ILWU has shown the way. Join in. A no one goes to work day/week/month…. and you will be the change, not sit back and wait for it. It is time to come together and if the war and because of it the demise of the constitution, the economy and the contempt in which the rest of the world holds the U.S. isn’t enough, what will be? What will it take to put down your tools and refuse to work until your voices are heard?
