A report on the day’s events will be up soon. Our motion to conference on Gaza, the student movement, and Marxism is also on there, but as it turned out no motions were taken on the day. A proposal to not take any motions was won by a narrow majority, so there was no debate at all amongst the whole conference, just top table speakers and, motions dispensed with, politically vacuous ‘action proposals’. Only in the workshops was there some limited debate. The turnout was quite high and CS members made a positive impact on what would otherwise have been a quite stale affair.
