Save Peyman Piran
Peyman Piran is a leading student activist in Iran who was forced to flee after being involved in anti war and anti regime protests. At the moment he is in a detention centre in Norway awaiting a decision which could see him returned to Iran. If like many other exiles he is returned his life will be in danger. Students for Freedom and Equality have asked for wide support and help in ensuring Peyman is not put in danger. We urge supporters and readers to message the Norwegian consulate and the Refugee Council of Norway. The contact details are below:

Dear Recipient,
Peyman Piran is the Iranian leftist activist who is affiliated to the group,Students for Freedom and Equality( Daneshjooyan-e azadikhah va barabari talab ).He was arrested on December 2007.After his release in 2008, he fled to Norway to refuge there. Unfortunately the Refugee Council of Norway didn’t accept his appeal and now he is deported by the Norwegian state. If he returns to Iran, then he will be at risk of torture and other ill-treatment by security officials of Iran .We ask them not to deport him and understand his dangerous condition. He had also been arrested in 1999 in Tehran university demonstration and he’s known by a lot of Left political, Human Rights and Women and Social rights activists around the world.
Please help us and send Appeals immediately to the Headquarter of refugee council of Norway and other diplomatic representatives of Norway accredited in your country.
Members of Students for Freedom and Equality
Payman Piran shouldn’t be deported. I appeal to the Norwegian government, not to succumb to the demands of Iran.
This is the e-mail I wrote, if anybody else wants to use it:
Dear Madam/Sir
I am writing in regard to the student Payman Piran, currently seeking asylum in Norway.
If he is deported to Iran, his life is in immediate danger due to his involvement in political critique peaceful protests. He has already been twice under arrest and if he returns to Iran, he will be at risk of torture and other ill-treatment by security officials of Iran.
I would like to urge you to accept his application and not expose him, or any other asylum seeker persecuted for their political beliefs, to this danger.
