CS London reading Marx’s Capital
At our meeting on Wednesday October 15 the London Communist Students branch decided to embark on a study of volume 1 of Marx’s classic text on political economy: Capital. We will be be dedicating the main part of London Communist Students meetings every second week to this study. The first of these meetings will be on Wednesday October 22 where we will discuss why it is important to study Capital and how we will go about this study. In preperation for these meetings, as well as reading the relevant chapters of the book itself we recomend that comrades use the videos of the ‘Reading Capital’ lectures by David Harvey. These are available for streaming or download at: http://davidharvey.org/ As and when we advertise further meetings in this study series we will also highlight further readings that comrades may find useful.
In the weeks in between these study sessions on Capital we will be holding public meetings around topical issues, as well as engaging in another study of Mike Macnair’s recent book Revolutionary Strategy.
Comrades who are interested in attending these meetings should contact us at info[at]communiststudents.org.uk for further information. Please replace “[at]” with “@” in this email address – this is an anti-spam measure.
